Briefly played on the Women’s Volleyball Team at Long Beach State University, then in 2009 decided to pursue my dreams of becoming a Professional Beach Volleyball Player with hopes of becoming an Olympic Athlete. Ever since I was a little girl I had pictures of Misty May Treanor and Kerri Walsh posted on my wall, little did I know the two people who swooped me off the beach to teach me the game would be Sonny Flor and Misty May’s dad, Butch May. I started by just playing coed with the old guys on the weekends, and watching Misty and Kerri practice, to eventually down the road practicing with them. They have always been nothing but supportive and helpful to my growth and knowledge of the game along the way. As I have accomplished a lot in 2 years of playing the sport, I have a long road ahead to obtain my ultimate goal of playing in the Olympic Games in Rio, Brasil in 2016. I cannot wait to continue my journey and look forward to all the sand, sweat, tears, and hard work for the next 5 years…Onward!!!
